Another fantastic year for Trinity’s Downtown Orlando Touch-a-Truck event. The smiling faces, honking horns and squeals of delight were proof of that! Children and parents – drivers and volunteers all enjoyed the event and had a blast spending the morning walking through Trinity’s campus to see everything!
Trinity’s Welcome Team had the opportunity to meet a lot of people while greeting guests near one of the entrances. Their drawing for two Tonka trucks, a jar of jellybeans, and a gift basket for an adult got lots of attention!. Children had to guess the number of jellybeans in the jar — a young guest named Dominic hit it right on the nose with a guess of 386 jellybeans (the second place winner guessed 380 jellybeans, and we have one little one who guessed the jar had 2 jellybeans!).
We were thrilled at the opportunity to see friends and neighbors from the surrounding communities as well as many new faces at the event this year. We were also able to raise some funds for Trinity Lutheran School’s PTL to further benefit school needs. We look forward to many more successful events where we can bring our Church, School and Community together. Thanks to all of the staff, volunteers, sponsors, businesses, vendors, participants and especially our drivers who made it all possible! We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
