Meet the K-8 Staff of Trinity Lutheran School

 

Mrs. McKinnon

Kindergarten  

Mrs. Brooke McKinnon earned BA and MA degrees from the University of Florida, with endorsements in Reading and English for Speakers of Other Languages.  Mrs. McKinnon returned to Trinity, her home church since childhood, after teaching in the Florida public charter school system.  She completed additional coursework in theology at Concordia University to become recognized as a Commissioned Minister of Religion at Trinity.

Favorite Bible Verse:  Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Mrs. Green

First Grade

Mrs. Peg Green holds a M.Ed. from George Mason University in Transformational Teaching and a BA from Concordia University.  Mrs. Green’s career encompasses over 25 years of experience in public and Lutheran Schools in economically and ethnically diverse communities.

Favorite Bible Verse:  Jeremiah 29:11  For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Mrs. Tesch

Second & Third Grade

Mrs. Kathleen Tesch earned a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University. She also has a Florida Teaching Certificate from the State of Florida. Mrs. Tesch has taught in Orange County Public Schools and Independent Christian Schools for 19 years. Mrs. Tesch is a long standing member and school parent at Trinity.

Miss Jones

Fourth Grade  

Miss Crystal Jones is a graduate of Concordia University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Theology.  Endorsements in Math and Science align with her first BA in Pre-Medicine studies from Florida Southern College.  Miss Jones is primed to energize Science and Math instruction at Trinity.

Favorite Bible Verse:  Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Rev. John Rallison

Grade 7 & 8 Homeroom, Middle School Religion, Science, and Mathematics

Rev. John Rallison was born and raised in Southern California. Half-way through his electrical engineering degree at the University of California, Irvine, he felt a call into pastoral ministry. He completed his bachelor’s degree at UCI and earned his Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He has served congregations in California and Florida, most recently as a church planter in Lake Nona. Along the way, Rev. Rallison has taught college-level theology courses, high school physics, and middle school math. He is thrilled to be teaching some of his favorite subjects to one of his favorite age groups.

Favorite Bible Verse: Ephesians 4:15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.

Mr. Mark Perry

K-8 Art, Middle School Math

 

Mr. Perry earned a his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from UCF and his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Perry has taught Math and Science for 15 years and has also served as an Administrative Dean for 10 years. He enjoys mentoring and sharing his experiences with others.

Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 5:3-4 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Miss Jenny Leon

Extended Care & Camp Director

Miss Jenny has earned a Bachelor in Psychology at Florida International University. She is currently working on her graduate degree in Creative Arts Therapy at Pratt Institute. Miss Jenny has been working with children of different ages and different developmental stages since her undergraduate degree. She enjoys working with children and being part of their developmental growth whether it may be doing arts and craft or learning a new activity. She is grateful for having the opportunity to work with the Trinity students.

Ms. Packman

K-8 School Admin Asst & Admissions

Keri Packman has been a part of the Trinity family for almost 10 years now. Ms. Packman served for nine years with the Child Development Center in a variety of roles before taking a year off to teach with OCPS. She is now back “home” and working in the K-8 school office. Her daughter has attended Trinity since she was one year old and is now headed in to 5th grade. Ms. Packman has a B.S. in Elementary Education from UCF, a professional teaching certificate in K-6 and PreK-3 with the State of Florida, and holds a DCF Director’s Credential. She loves to spend time with family and friends and feels blessed to have the opportunity to work with Trinity families and students.

Favorite Bible Verse: 1 John 3:18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Dr. Beverly Middleton

Acting K-8 Executive Director

Dr. Middleton loves being part of the Trinity family and has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 2001.  She is happily married to her wonderful husband David, with whom she has three children and five grandchildren. Dr. Middleton was raised in Orlando, joined the United States Marine Corps right out of high school and retired in 1996. From there, she went into education and became a life-long learner earning her Doctorate in Educational Leadership. She also became a nurse along the way and continues to keep her license active for volunteer opportunities. Dr. Middleton believes that every individual has a purpose in life and she loves to help guide children and adults in finding their purpose and their light in Jesus. She believes every day is a blessing, lives out each and every day grateful to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and begins each day praising God and believing, “Today will be the BEST DAY EVER.”
