With all the changes in weather, kindergarten took a closer look at why it rains. After reading Little Cloud by Eric Carle, kindergarten did a science experiment to discover why it rains.

First they took a clear cup filled three quarters up with water. Then they used shaving cream on top of the water to make the cloud. Using food coloring to represent water, they added drops of water to the cloud until it rained in the cup. They learned that when the cloud has too much water, it will rain. They also discovered they bigger the cloud, the more water it needs before it rains. As soon as we finished, it actually began raining outside! What a perfect ending to our science lesson.

If you want to try this at home all you need is a clear cup, water, shaving cream and food coloring. Have fun!
