The past few weeks of FCA for the 2017-2018 school year have been packed with activity! Just a few weeks ago, FCA students created 48 support and worship care bags for the homeless in downtown Orlando. Each of the bags were decorated with encouraging messages and scripture passages and contained snacks, juice, toothbrushes, and toiletries.  The students enjoyed working on a project they know will help those in need!

The students have also participated in numerous teambuilding games and creative projects including decorating crosses.  Students and teachers also participated in discussion about how gossip impacts us and that what we do with our words sticks with us. Students learned that it’s both the responsibility of the speaker and the listener to recognize and put an end to gossip.

We have two Fridays of FCA left this year, which will include a movie and ice cream party (May 18) and a free play day for the students (May 25). We are looking forward to a great summer, although we will miss the FCA kiddos and can’t wait to see them again on Fridays this coming Fall. Thank you to all of our wonderful parents who have encouraged their kids to participate in Trinity’s afterschool FCA Fridays where staff and volunteers have thoroughly enjoyed spending some quality time with these wonderful young people focusing on the key principles of FCA:

Integrity: We will demonstrate Christ-like wholeness in our relationships in FCA.
Service: We will model Jesus’ example of serving.
Teamwork: We will express our unity in Christ in all our relationships.
Excellence: We will honor and glorify God in all we do.
