We Have A Garden!

In case you haven’t heard, Trinity’s Pre-Kindergartners have a new garden! The garden will be used to grow vegetables which will give the students practical application of how plants grow. The vegetables grown will be donated to various food pantries in the area. “We want to share our blessings with others,” said Pastor Martin about the veggie donations.

“This is another step in the direction of teaching a healthy lifestyle.”

-Patty Moser

Getting things off on the proper foot, Pastor Jim Martin stopped by and led 132 of our Pre-K’ers in a devotion and blessing.  The students are very excited to start growing veggies in their new garden, with their eager teachers right behind ready to share their “Green Thumbs” as well.garden collage

I have wanted my students to experience a garden for my entire teaching career. Today is the day!

-Kathryn Sutton, Garden of Exploration

“Our class loved the gardening unit we studied last month, and to be able to put it into practice with a garden right here on campus is fantastic!”

-Wendy Havens, Garden of Creativity

Big thanks to those who helped make this garden possible, especially church member Mike Hoffman and TLS parent (and CDC teacher spouse) Tom Sutton for building the boxes and helping student plant seeds.
