During Lent, Trinity Lutheran School VPK students are reflecting on Jesus’ sacrifice for them and sharing ways they can practice their faith each day. In Ms. Kathryn and Ms. Liz’s class, students came up with 40 ways they could practice their Christian faith. Each idea was written on a piece of construction paper and folded into a paper chain, and then connected to a cross at the front of the room.
Each & every day during Lent, the “class pastor” pulls a chain “link” down and shares the challenge written on the link This gives students a daily opportunity to show & share their love for Jesus through their actions. Student ideas included helping parents with chores, showing kindness to friends, and forgiving others.
