berenstain-bear-go-to-sunday-schoolThis week the Garden of Discovery VPK class at Trinity Lutheran School is learning all about neighborhoods.  They’re learning that neighborhoods are made up of many components, and that the Church is a very important part of every community.  So, the Garden of Discovery students and their teachers, Ms. Jacqui & Mrs. Havens, met with Trinity’s Deaconess Liz Borth, and visited Trinity’s Sanctuary to learn more about their Trinity neighborhood church.

church-field-trip-sept-27-2016Before the visit to the Sanctuary, Deaconess Liz Borth met everyone in the classroom to read The Berenstain Bears Go To Sunday School. From there everyone walked together to the Sanctuary where Deaconess Liz showed everyone how the story of Jesus is depicted in the Sanctuary’s stained glass windows.  Each window tells of a specific part of Christ’s life.

The children loved it, and even helped with different parts of the story.sunday-school
