Yesterday, our girl’s and boy’s varsity teams took on St. Paul Lutheran School in Lakeland, FL. Both games were incredibly exciting…so to honor our kids’ accomplishments, I present some “sweet stats” from last night’s games. Be sure to give our kids a big congrats on their efforts!
Girls Game
- Our team with 4th-6th graders and one 7th grader took on St. Paul’s 7th and 8th grade team.
- Lordinshe had 10 rebounds and 2 points (she was always underneath the basket ready for the ball!)
- Arieliz had 2 steals and 5 rebounds (she was aggressive!!)
- Bella had 2 points and 6 rebounds
- Madison had 2 points and 4 rebounds
- 5/7 players on our team made attempts to score
- A strong defense held St. Paul to 0 points in the 2nd quarter
Boys Game
- Our team of four 4th graders, a 5th, 6th and 8th grader played St. Paul’s all 8th grade team.
- Trinity held onto a lead for 10 out of 14 minutes in the first half. Half time score :: TLS: 14 – SPLS: 17
- Tyler had 9 points…three consecutive 3 pointers! Tyler also had 7 rebounds
- Josh put up a point, but also had 10 rebounds! (he was also ALWAYS under the net looking for the ball!)
- Tanner had 4 points, 4 steals, and even 2 rebounds (yes, our shortest player with 2 rebounds!)
- Sebastian put up a huge three pointer, had 2 steals, and even got a rebound.
- 6/7 players made attempts to score
